Letter from Allan Warmington to Carol Jackson 13/7/1998 with information found in Romsey Abbey, Hants. Gerard Noel became Vicar of Romsey in 1841 and initiated the restoration of a very delapidated Abbey. Caroline Maria Noel; (1817 to 1877) his daughter was the author of the hymn "At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow". She was also the sister-in-law of Canon Kennaway.
